We are extremely pleased to announce today that Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, Texas City has a great new principal with lots of experience for the coming academic year and beyond. She was discerned last week by the Principal Selection Committee with help from the Catholic Schools Office. Many thanks to the Committee and CSO for their wisdom and discernment throughout this process!
Please join me in welcoming Ms. Cheryl Aucoin back to the Our Lady of Catholic School Community. She is a resident of Texas City, a life-long member of our parish and a Fatima alumna. She served as Librarian and Girl Scout Leader at Our Lady of Fatima in the early 2000s while her five children were in attendance.
Ms. Aucoin, Cheryl, comes to us from Lutheran South Academy where she served as the Lower School Principal. She received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. After serving as a classroom teacher and aftercare supervisor for several years, she was approached by her school administration to serve in the capacity of Assistant Principal. After beginning her new position, she returned to college and received her Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University. She strongly believes in spreading the Word of Jesus Christ through the mission of Catholic schools.
We are thrilled that Ms. Aucoin has accepted our offer and will be leading our school into the wonderful future God has planned for us.
