We will be hosting our Confirmation Parent Meeting for 2024 - 2025 on Sunday, June 9th from 2 to 3 pm! We will be reviewing the requirements for our program and scheduling pre-Confirmation interviews. All students eligible for Confirmation are required to attend this meeting with their families. If you have any questions or cannot make it to this meeting, please email Marisol and Chrysta to schedule a meeting. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!
How long is the confirmation program?
Each person to be confirmed must be enrolled in the 3M youth program for at least one year PRIOR to beginning Confirmation preparation and must have maintained an 80% attendance record for that year and for the second year of sacrament preparation. At minimum, preparation for Confirmation is 2 years provided all other requirements have been met.
What classes do students need to attend?
Students entering the 10th grade or higher preparing for Confirmation must attend all Sunday Confirmation sacramental preparation in conjunction with their Faith Formation classes on Wednesday evenings. Weekly Sunday Mass attendance is also expected.
How does one know if they are ready to receive the sacrament of Confirmation?
Confirmation is a major step towards adult commitment to Jesus Christ. This must be a personal decision on the part of the candidate to be confirmed. Candidates should show a willingness to live out their faith in the world. The faithful fulfillment of the responsibility to attend weekly Mass will be taken into consideration when determining if your child is ready for the sacrament.
